My Experience with a Timeshare (Wyndham) Sales Team in Vegas

I'm writing this because the Reddit threads on this topic are outdated and more people should know what I now know about the "new" timeshares. This is what it's like to be on the receiving end of a Wyndham timeshare sales pitch. Here goes:

I vaguely knew what I was getting in to. My girlfriend and I arrived at an MGM owned casino. We get a bite to eat and as soon as we began our exploration of the Casino someone approached us offering vouchers for free play in the casino worth $75. I'm usually hesitant to ever get sucked into something like this but my girlfriend insisted that we do it. "They give it to you for showing up, we'll just say no, I've got friends who did this too, etc." I went along and decided to keep an open mind about it.

We talk to this guy who convinces people to attend this "seminar" for two hours and you'll receive the vouchers, plus a hotel room for a few nights from a selection of locations, plus free breakfast. He insists that all you need to do is say "no, not interested" once the 2 hours are up and you can just leave with your vouchers. Obviously his incentive isn't to sell anything but fill the buses with as many people as possible.

The next day we get on the bus to the seminar location. My initial thought was that we'd all crowd into a room and watch some presentation before given the opportunity to bounce. I was caught off guard when every couple was assigned a salesperson. We meet our salesman and he immediately compliments us, is incredibly impressed by any of the words we string together, and has now become our fake best friend.

We go into the presentation and the speaker does his thing. And everyone here should be aware that much of what he said was true, but his conclusions were abhorrent. He pointed out that in America we do not use all of our vacation days. We tend to waste them. We are also constantly putting off that one trip to our dream destination to "someday", but "someday" never comes. Next, he points out that most people, dying people, regret working so much and wish they spent more time with their families. These are true facts.

But then he concluded by suggesting we should all buy into this program which will allow us to take these dream vacations. It was the kind of sound financial advice you'd expect from someone who would directly benefit from the purchase and would never hear from you again.

I want to note, the speaker was talented and entertaining. He was loaded with jokes, self-deprecating humor. It was funny, but holy shit. Looking around the room were the salespeople with the obnoxious fake laughter. They saw this probably a hundred times. It was creepy. It was surreal. 1/3 of the audience was in on the sales pitch.

The salespeople used every joke as an opportunity to measure the responses on the faces on their paired couple. The speaker would crack a joke and all the sales people would simultaneously throw their back out laughing before turning to the couple they were with to see if they were laughing too.

There were no opportunities for me to speak with my girlfriend without the salesman eavesdropping. The presentation moved fast enough that looking anything up seemed like too much of a distraction. As skilled as they seemed at controlling my behavior, the whole thing was throwing up red flags.

Anyway, the presentation ended and our salesman led us to a table. On the way over there were other couples sitting out in the open with their assigned salesperson. They seemed excited about what they were hearing and excitedly signing papers. It was…weird.

We sit down and the salesman goes through the program in more detail. Here's where I get genuinely turned off. I work in IT, I'm about to finish my bachelor's degree, I don't think I'm a sucker but my love of science puts me at odds with a person who's giving me overwhelmingly biased information. He reiterates all of the great things about this program. He turns to my girlfriend, "what do you think about that?" "It sounds great!" Then he turns to me. "And what do you think about that? Is it something you'd want to do?" And I reply "Depending on the cost, yes, I'd do it!"

Next, he has us estimate the cost of a hotel we normally pay for. Then he asks us how many vacation days we take per year. This is fine and easy math. If the average cost is $115 per night, and you take 10 days, it's $1,150 per year in hotel costs. The "program" (timeshare but they completely avoid the term) lasts 20 years. It's still vague at this part but the salesman insists on focusing on how much we are gonna pay for these hotel rooms over the next 20 years.

Cost per year multiplied by 20 years is 23,000. But that's not the equation they're doing. They're not accounting for interest! Ah! It would be more over that time! How much does it really cost? About $250,000. They estimate that the hospitality industry has an inflation rate of 11%!! Everyone should have it ingrained in their heads that inflation across the entire economy (in America) has been around 3% per year.

He was willing to tinker with the numbers but, generally speaking, we're spending a fuck ton of money on just hotels according to their calculations. And any close observers would note that the number should have been much lower. $1,300×20 years×1.120=$174,914.99. I could have been wrong in my calculation but their cost estimate was obscenely high.

Then he asks if we have any more questions. Uh, yeah, how much are we talking about here? They never mentioned up to this point how much it costs! But I'm skeptical and the questions I'm asking are things like how do you actually book a vacation? What happens if I change my mind about it? Is it transferrable? The salesman doesn't know the answers to these questions so a higher level salesman comes over. He's very happy to meet us. He loves the outfit I'm wearing. He compliments various other features and, with the limited amount of information I've provided, seems completely ready to compete with the other salesman for the title of my new best friend.

He answers some of my questions but can't provide any documentation to back up his claims. They still won't provide a price but they hand an iPad to my girlfriend to start filling out personal information. I look over and as soon as I see there's a field for the social security number I damn near slap it out of her hands. They were literally going to do a credit check to see how much the cost would be for us! Huge red flag for me. First, the inquiry shows up on your credit report. While that may not be so bad, I want to be informed on making a purchase and at least know a price range before taking that kind of step.

This throws the salesman off. Apparently, no one stops at this part of the process. The head sales guy says it's fine, and offers for us to check out a room which would be the type of room we'd be staying in if we join this program. I still don't know how much this program costs. We go and the salesman leaves my girlfriend and I alone to explore at our own pace.

This is where I frantically looked for the Reddit thread where personal finance gurus say "GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE, THEY KIDNAP REDDITORS LIKE YOU AND YOUR CLONE BECOMES A SALESMAN". I found a few threads, and they did warn against this, but they were at least a year old and it didn't all seem timely.

I couldn't find costs online either, so I thought to myself "how much per month would I be willing to pay for something like this?" I concluded $45 per month. But I still had misgivings about making a big commitment on such short notice when I couldn't even read anything like a contract. I'd rather go home and read independent reviews so I can be confident in my decision. I couldn't get to that point.

Once again we end up back at the table but this time the salesman has a laminated piece of paper with prices on it! I immediately I see huge numbers and realize why they waited so long to show it. They wanted approximately $130,000 for the total program. It would be $13,000 down to get started, and almost $500 per month.

(Note: when I did the math later, the actual cost we'd likely pay is around what they wanted for the program. But we'd be paying a fortune upfront and have a monthly payment. We could only go to where Wyndham had properties, which was in America or Australia or some islands, but if we wanted to go to Europe it would be through RCI, which cost about $300 per week. That's about the cost of an AirBnB in some locations, so if you're a smart traveller it may not be worth it at all.)

"Would you rather pay this?" The head salesman circles the $174,000. "Or this", he circles the $130,000. Ooga not want pay big number when ooga pay small number instead. I didn't want it. $45 dollars was as high as I'd go.

This is the part where they tried to pit my girlfriend against me in an amateurish attempt at manipulation. First, they go through the list of everything we ever told them about what we liked about the program (before we ever heard a price). They even sneak in a "you should be willing to sacrifice something for it" and gave a few examples like eating out less or having fewer cups of coffee from Starbucks. So I'm telling the salesman that this is way too expensive and once again the head sales guy shows up. He says things like "I thought you said you liked the program? You said it was a 10/10. Are you saying it's not a 10/10? You said you'd be willing to sacrifice for this!" He was getting irritated. Then he turned to my girlfriend and says "it doesn't sound like he's as rich as he says he is". At this point I was infuriated. Best friends don't say things like this to each other. But I held my cool. I looked him dead in the eye and firmly said "I'm gonna pass".

But damn, the manipulation didn't stop and they didn't give up. They leave us alone to fill out a brief survey with a guy who definitely doesn't sell anything. So this guy shows up, introduces himself, and asks us about why we didn't buy it. I was truthful, it was too expensive and I wasn't willing to spend all that for it. I also felt pressured to make a big commitment on something that hours earlier I knew nothing about. So then he offers to sell us a "trial" program. It's a fraction of the price and it only lasts two years. It starts to be appealing, but then it is also limited to certain locations. I ask to see the contract and the guy says "what do you want me to do, sit here and read you a contract"? At that point he gets frustrated and offers to walk us to the exit. It had been 4 hours. We get our vouchers and leave.

Tl;dr: it would have been a bad financial decision.

Below is our list of what we believe to be the seven best car insurance providers in Pennsylvania. Our ranking is based on objective factors, and not on personal opinion. We’ve also indicated why each company made our list and included a section under What Holds It Back to list any apparent weaknesses in their product offering.

Special Mention: USAA – Best for Members of the Military

With an average premium of $801, USAA has one of the lowest in Pennsylvania. The company gets an A++ rating on financial strength from A.M. Best, and they had the highest J.D. Power Customer Service rating of all carriers in the state, at 898 out of 1,000 points.

But USAA makes car insurance available only to active members and veterans of the US military and their families. Since their coverage isn’t available to the general public, we’ve excluded it from the list below. But if you’re a current or former member of the US military and you’re looking for car insurance, USAA should be your first choice.

We also like the ERIE Auto Plus plan, that’s a package of options, including a diminishing deductible, a death benefit, a deductible waiver in certain situations, and increased coverage limits, all at only a small increase in your premium.

What Holds it Back

Erie has an interesting rate lock option (the Erie Rate Lock) that may sound attractive to many consumers. They’ll honor the rate lock – unless you have a significant policy change. If you do, the rate will be recalculated and may go higher. It doesn’t look quite like the guarantee it promises to be.

We like the many discounts State Farm offers, but especially their Accident-Free discount. It’s available after just three years without a chargeable accident, which is a lot less than the normal five years required by other companies. But the discount can even increase if you go beyond three years without an at-fault accident.

What Holds it Back

There’s no indication State Farm provides gap coverage. This is a critical missing part, since many drivers owe more on their vehicles than those vehicles are worth.

Progressive advertises you can save $796 per year. But that’s a bit difficult to swallow considering they rank only fifth in statewide car insurance premiums in Pennsylvania. With a discount that deep, you’d expect them to have the lowest premiums of all.

Liberty Mutual has some of the more interesting policy options, particularly when it comes to the maintenance of your vehicle. Of special interest are the lifetime repair guarantee (you must use an approved facility), new car replacement assistance, and the option to replace your car with a better car that’s one model year newer and has 15,000 fewer miles. We also like that it offers the ability to lower or eliminate your deductible, accident forgiveness, and accident- and violation-free discounts.

What Holds it Back

Liberty Mutual has the highest average auto insurance premiums of the seven companies on our list. In fact, it’s the only company on our list that has an average premium higher than the Pennsylvania statewide average. It also ranks a disappointing #11 in customer satisfaction, and is on the low end of the financial strength rating, gathering only an “A” rating from A.M. Best.

How We Found the Best Car Insurance in Pennsylvania

To come up with our list of the best car insurance in Pennsylvania, we’ve used five independent criteria to make that determination.

Policy Options

Policy options are what an insurance company provides over and above the minimum requirements in a state. But other coverages commonly available – and strongly recommended – include collision, comprehensive, medical payments, gap coverage, and personal injury protection.

Over and above these, however, you may be particularly interested in a company that provides more specialized options, like ridesharing protection or auto insurance while driving in Mexico.

Discounts

Despite the average premiums charged by each company, we also gave considerable weight to discounts. Though not all discounts will apply to all drivers, there may be one or more offered by a company that provides a significant premium reduction in your situation. Companies with a better discount menu have been given stronger consideration.

Premiums

It’s often tempting to come up with a list of the best car insurance companies based mainly on premium levels. That’s certainly the primary consideration for most consumers. But while we did give heavy consideration to each company’s average premium, we didn’t want to rely too heavily on premium averages.

The problem with premium averages is that they’re just that, averages. The exact premium you will pay will depend on your own driver profile. That will include your specific geographic location (living in a big city will come with higher premiums than a rural area), the type of vehicle you drive, your driving history, your credit score, and many other criteria.

We used average premiums only as a starting point. These were derived from The Zebra, which is determined to be a reliable source of pricing information.

Customer Satisfaction Rating

Customer satisfaction includes the all-important category of driver experience with filing claims. After all, paying claims for auto accidents is the whole reason for having car insurance in the first place. If an insurance company is slow or uncooperative – or it has a history of declining too many claims – it won’t be worth having a policy through them, no matter how low their premium is.

To make a reasonable assessment of this all-important category, we’ve used the J.D. Power U.S. Auto Insurance Study, released in June, 2019. More specifically, we’ve relied on the Overall Customer Satisfaction Index Ranking – Mid-Atlantic Region, which includes Pennsylvania.

Insurance Company Financial Strength

Financial strength indicates an insurance company’s ability to meet its financial obligations, which includes its ability to pay claims. Cheap car insurance will do little more than satisfy the minimum legal requirements in Pennsylvania, but could leave you with unpaid claims.

For that reason, we’ve included only companies rated either “Superior” or “Excellent” for financial strength by the insurance industry rating service, A.M. Best.

Their ratings for companies with financial strength of “Good” or better are as follows:

  • Superior: A+, A++
  • Excellent: A, A-
  • Good: B, B+

We have not included any companies rated lower than “A”.

What You Need to Know About Car Insurance Laws in Pennsylvania

Car insurance laws and requirements vary from one state to another. Regulations in Pennsylvania are as follows:

State Minimum Insurance Requirements

The minimum Pennsylvania car insurance requirement is “15/30/5”, broken down as follows:

  • Bodily Injury: $15,000 for injury or death to one person as a result of an auto accident.
  • Bodily Injury: $30,000 for injury or death to more than one person as a result of an auto accident.
  • Property Damage: $5,000 per accident.
  • Medical Benefits: This provision is optional in most states but required in Pennsylvania. It pays medical bills for you and others who are covered by your policy, regardless of fault. The minimum coverage is $5,000, but higher limits are available at your option.

Some insurance companies in Pennsylvania offer a single limit of $35,000, meaning both the bodily injury liability and property damage liability minimum requirements.

Pennsylvania also offers “Limited or Full Tort” coverage. Limited tort coverage lowers your premium, and you are still able to recover out-of-pocket medical and other expenses. But you are not able to recover for pain and suffering unless the injuries meet one of the exceptions to limited for as described under Pennsylvania law. But if you go with full tort coverage, you’ll have unrestricted rights to bring a suit against a negligent party.

Penalties for Not Having Car Insurance in Pennsylvania

If you are found to be driving without at least minimum car insurance coverage, you’ll be subject to the following penalties:

  • Minimum fine of $300
  • Three-month suspension of your vehicle registration
  • Three-month suspension of your driver’s license
  • Restoration fees to restore your vehicle registration
  • Restoration fees to restore your driver’s license
  • Vehicle impoundment

Pennsylvania State Car Insurance FAQs

Is Pennsylvania a “no-fault” state?
Pennsylvania is considered neither an at-fault or no-fault state. It’s up to the driver to decide whether to purchase at-fault or no-fault coverage.

In an-fault insurance environment, you can seek damages from the at-fault party’s insurance company. Under a no-fault system, you must file claims against your own insurance carrier, and your rights to sue for damages are limited

In Pennsylvania you can choose no-fault coverage and collect benefits from your own insurance company, regardless of who is at fault. But you also can also opt out of no-fault, and preserve the right to pursue remuneration from the at-fault party’s insurance company. This is determined at the time you purchase your policy, and cannot be changed as a result of an accident.

The requirement of full tort insurance means you are choosing at-fault coverage, preserving the right to pursue the insurance company of the at-fault driver. If you choose limited tort, you’re opting for no-fault coverage. You will then have limited ability to file a lawsuit for most accidents, except under those situations permitted by state law.

What do I do if I can’t get car insurance through traditional insurance companies?
If you’re unable to obtain proper car insurance through traditional insurance carriers, you can obtain coverage through the Pennsylvania Assigned Risk Plan. The program offers coverage to those who are unable to get it elsewhere. All insurance companies offering auto coverage in the state are required to participate in the plan. However, you will be assigned to a participating company, which will be determined by the proportion of the amount of business each company does in Pennsylvania. Luigi is back and better than ever in the newest installment in the Luigi’s Mansion Series.

This is the third game in the Luigi’s Mansion franchise, and it’s by far the best. Luigi’s Mansion 3 came out on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite on October 31, 2019.

Players get to master new skills and equipment in this delightfully charming game. Luigi’s Mansion 3 has been wildly popular since its release, with over 5.3 million copies sold.

The game has 4.7/5 rating from GameStop, a 96% positive rating from Google Users, a 5/5 rating from Common Sense Media, and a 86% positive rating from Mediacritic. Luigi’s Mansion 3 was also voted the Best Family Game of 2019 at the Video Game Awards.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 reviews

This game begins with Mario, Princess Peach, three Toads, and Luigi riding on a bus. Luigi and his merry band of friends are going to a hotel—I know, I know, a hotel is not technically a mansion, but the game is still fun anyway—, where they have been promised a luxurious stay.

Unsurprisingly, the promised vacation is not luxurious in any way. Instead, soon after Luigi and company arrive at the hotel, everyone but Luigi is captured by the ghosts of the haunted hotel. This means it’s up to Luigi to rescue his friends.

Luigi’s Equipment

Luigi’s Mansion 3 sees the return of some iconic equipment from the previous Luigi’s Mansion games and some new equipment to spice things up.

  • The Poltergust 3000 is Luigi’s main tool and only weapon. He uses it to blow and suck air, ghosts, and money.
  • Dark Light Device is a special light that gets attached to the Poltergust 3000 and allows players to see hidden objects and trap ghosts.
  • The Plunger is another Poltergust attachment that can be used to stick to objects to solve puzzles, unblock a path, or attack ghosts.

Faces: New And Familiar

This new game also features some familiar characters, but also some new ones. Here is a list of characters:

  • Luigi—obviously—is the main character and reluctant ghost hunter extraordinaire.
  • Gooigi is Luigi’s gooey, Jello-esque doppelganger. Gooigi is an indispensable character who, when he’s not stored in Luigi’s backpack, assists him with defeating ghosts and solve puzzles—as long as they don’t involve water.
  • Professor E. Gadd is a zany character with some serious mad scientist vibes. He upgrades Luigi’s equipment, sells him items, and performs unauthorized experiments on him—looking at you Gooigi.
  • Polterpup is Luigi’s adorable ghostly puppy sidekick/mascot.
  • Hellen Gravely is one of the main antagonists and is one of the big bosses and proprietress of the haunted hotel
  • King Boo is a returning enemy from previous Luigi’s Mansion. He is the big bad and is the enemy players face in the final boss battle.

The Haunted Hotel

The haunted hotel is amazing!

Next Level Games has outdone themselves with the design of this game.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is so fun because unlike its predecessor, Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon, there’s always something new to see or do. There are 15 floors and two basement levels—not including the roof—and each has its own theme, which all look like something players would expect to see in a fancy haunted hotel—you know, if you visited a lot of haunted hotels. Every floor has a boss which players must beat to proceed to the next floor.

  3. 1st Floor is the grand lobby
  4. 2nd Floor is the mezzanine themed floor
  5. 3rd Floor is the hotel shops

Fun Takeaways

Some of the best things about this game were the little details. Luigi is a reluctant hero, which is what makes him such a fun protagonist. He spends the entire game afraid of everything. He trembles when he opens doors, jumps at noises, random movement, and jump scares.

When Luigi runs his head lags behind him, like he is a manic character from Tom and Jerry, it’s what makes the game so fun. It’s obvious that Luigi is scared, but with such a fun castle to explore, how can you stop playing?

Gooigi—see in the list above—is a new playable character in the Luigi’s Mansion franchise. He rests in Luigi’s backpack and is loads of fun to play. The graphics really give Gooigi depth, and when players move him around, they’ll get to see and hear how he oozes through obstacles. It is utterly fascinating.

Gooigi is capable of slipping through grates and fences, and essentially has all of the powers Luigi does—except for his weakness with water. Should players decide to play in local co-op, they can choose to play both Luigi and Gooigi simultaneously.

Another great detail in this game is how interactive it is; virtually everything players interact with is reactive. Players can bump into tables, topple chairs, blow on tubas, and break things.

A bonus is that most of those things will also give out money or prizes when players interact with them.

Combat And Puzzles

Combat is entertaining in this game, although Luigi’s Mansion 3 doesn’t feel like a combat-focused game. The Poltergust 300—once again, in the list above—is a weapon without feeling like a weapon.

It is incredible how versatile the Poltergust 3000 is, and it is really cool to consider just how in-depth the game design is to create a world where a modified vacuum with attachments is the only thing players need to succeed.

Also, smashing ghosts against the floor and walls is really fun.

Puzzles are a significant part of the gameplay as well, and they are just as dynamic as the setting and combat. Players are challenged to really think outside the box with this game.

Multi-player Option

Luigi’s Mansion 3 also offers a multi-player mode, which means eight players can gather either online or locally. This game also sees the return of ‘ScareScraper’—which is from Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon—in a co-operative mode or the option to play ‘ScreamPark’ in a team vs. co-operative team mode.

‘ScareScraper’ is a teamwork focused co-op where players must clear randomly generated floors from a high-rise. They do this by hunting ghosts and moving on once all of the ghosts on a floor are cleared.

‘ScreamPark’ pits two multi-player teams—Teams Luigi and Gooigi—against each other in three different match types. The matches are:

  • Ghost Hunt: where the team who catches the most ghosts, especially tough ones, wins
  • Cannon Barrage: is a game where players must obtain cannonballs, some of which are held by ghosts, and fire them at targets
  • Coin Floating: teams must collect the most coins from a pool without collecting any nasty surprises that also lie within the water

Controls are the same in both single and multiplayer modes, and characters are color-coded versions of Luigi and his doppelganger.

Verdict

This game is a fantastic addition to a unique series. There is very little to not like about this game. There is the occasional issue with controls, and some of the puzzles are a little difficult to decipher. These issues are overshadowed by all of the other things that make this game great.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a game with gorgeous graphics, a fun plot, and a charming protagonist. It is an excellent game for players of all ages. With an average of 15 hours of gameplay, without any treasure hunting,

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a delightful way to spend some time with our favorite scaredy-cat ghostbuster.

What Is Azlo?

Azlo is an online-only bank available in the U.S. and Mexico. The CEO & Co-founder is Cameron Peake. Azlo was founded in 2017 and is part of BBVA USA, Member FDIC.

“Within the banking industry, small business customers usually either aren’t served at all, or they’re served as an afterthought. At Azlo, from day one, we’ve built our product just for them. For example, we don’t have minimum balances or monthly fees. This is important because if you’re a new business owner ― particularly someone who hasn’t started earning revenue yet ― your money should be put towards your business rather than fees,” Peake said in an interview with fitsmallbusiness.com.

What Do They Offer?

Azlo offers free business checking suited for simple businesses such as small businesses, contractors, and freelancers who do all of their business online. 

It also has a no-fee model. Companies that need to write paper checks will want to use a different bank since Azlo doesn’t offer checkbook services. Businesses that need in-branch services and deal with cash will also not be a good fit for Azlo since none of those services are offered.

For most small businesses, Azlo can do virtually everything needed without any fees. It offers simple business checking, but for many small businesses, they don’t need anything more. Here’s what’s included with an Azlo checking account:

  • No-fee checking account
  • Free ATM access using Allpoint Network (55,000 ATMs)
  • Invoice clients for free
  • Debit card
  • Bill pay, which includes option for mailing paper checks
  • Connect your checking account to popular accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Wave.
  • Accept credit card payments through Stripe, Square, or PayPal.
  • Clients can send in paper checks for payment or use a bank transfer.
  • Receive incoming wire transfers fee-free. Outgoing wire transfers are not available.

As you can see from the list above, Azlo is very business-oriented.

Some customers have reported that transfers with Azlo are slower than with other banks. Azlo lists that outgoing transfers can take 1-3 business days, and incoming transfers can take 4-5 business days. Mobile check deposits can take 1-6 business days to process. These processing times can certainly be a factor if you need fast processing for transfers and check deposits.

Azlo cannot send international transfers. They are working on adding this option. Although you can pull from an Azlo account using an international debit service.

We also experienced trouble trying to use the invoicing and receiving payments with credit cards on invoices.

Azlo is available in all 50 states. Azlo is not able to offer services to businesses involved in gambling, money services, privately-owned ATMs, sales of marijuana or its derivatives, precious metals, pawnshops, or cryptocurrency exchanges. It also can’t support limited partnerships or limited liability partnerships.

Azlo does have some limits on certain transactions. From their webpage these include:

  • ATM withdrawals are limited to $1,000/day.
  • Card purchases and over-the-counter cash withdrawals have a cumulative limit of $8,000/day and 30 unique card transactions/day.
  • Transfers TO a linked account are limited to $300,000/day, and transfers FROM a linked account are limited to $100,000/day.
  • Payments through bill pay are limited to $10,000/payment. Bank-to-bank (ACH) payments are limited to $300,000/day.
  • Mobile check deposits are limited to $10,000/check and $20,000/month. Limit can be increased based on your Azlo account history.

Azlo has a mobile app for both the iPhone and Android. On the Apple App Store, it has a 4.3/5 rating from 258 people and 4.1/5 rating from 298 people on the Google Play Store.

Nope. Azlo is all-free business checking. That begs the question — how do they make money? Azlo says it makes money by earning interest on checking deposits and from customers using the Azlo debit card.

Payment serviced from Stripe, Square, and PayPal do charge processor fees, but these are separate from Azlo.

It has integrated invoicing and the ability to accept payment from credit cards and bank transfers, providing a great infrastructure for small businesses.
